Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and finance team leadership. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys partnering with executive leadership to support operational and financial success.

The Controller will work closely with the CFO and Executive Team to provide financial insight, strengthen processes, support operational efficiency, and maintain accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization.

Location: Greater Colorado Springs Area, CO
Office Setting: Onsite
Compensation: $125,000 – $145,000 + competitive bonus opportunity.

Position Overview
This is a full-time onsite leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function while supporting strategic financial initiatives across the business.
The Controller will be responsible for:
  • Supervising the production and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Managing day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and related accounting operations
  • Partnering with the Executive Team to support strategic financial decision-making
  • Communicating and presenting financial results to executive leadership and management teams
  • Working closely with operational leaders to optimize inventory management and related financial controls
  • Helping manage banking relationships and related financial activities
  • Implementing and strengthening accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Coordinating budgeting and forecasting processes to support operational and financial goals
  • Leading external audits and supporting tax compliance activities
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing the finance and accounting team
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting and related compliance responsibilities
  • Supporting operational improvements, reporting enhancements, and process efficiencies across the accounting function
  • Reporting directly to the CFO and Executive Team
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA/CMA required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and U.S. GAAP
  • Experience managing general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • High integrity and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and manufacturing accounting environments preferred
  • Experience presenting financial results and partnering with executive leadership teams preferred
  • Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to drive operational efficiencies
