IT Audit Manager | Fully Remote | $155K–$175K + Bonus

Our client, a growing mid-sized public accounting and compliance advisory firm headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking an experienced IT Audit Manager to join its collaborative, employee-centric team.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a hands-on IT audit leader with strong SOC 1, SOC 2, AICPA quality control, and public accounting experience.

About the Role

The IT Audit Manager will lead and mentor a team of IT/SOC Assurance professionals while managing multiple audit and compliance engagements. This role will oversee engagement execution, review workpapers, support quality control initiatives, provide technical guidance, and maintain strong client relationships.

Engagements may include SOC 1, SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, GDPR, IT general controls, application controls, and related compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead IT audit and SOC assurance engagements from planning through completion
  • Manage multiple client engagements, priorities, and deadlines
  • Perform risk assessments, control testing, and evaluation of IT controls
  • Review audit documentation and workpapers for quality, accuracy, and support
  • Support AICPA quality control, peer review, and audit accuracy processes
  • Mentor, coach, and supervise IT audit professionals
  • Serve as a key client contact throughout engagements
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen controls, reduce risk, and improve efficiency
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable fully remote team culture

Required Qualifications

  • Active CPA license
  • 7–10+ years of IT audit, information systems auditing, SOC assurance, or related experience
  • 3–8+ years of supervisory, mentoring, or audit leadership experience
  • Strong SOC 1 and SOC 2 experience
  • AICPA quality control experience
  • Experience with internal quality control, peer reviews, and audit workpaper review
  • Public accounting or internal audit experience
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, security, privacy, audit, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication, organization, project management, and client service skills
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fully remote, deadline-driven environment

Highly Preferred

  • Big Four public IT Audit experience
  • Experience with GRC platforms such as Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, or similar tools
  • CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, or similar certifications
  • Experience with cloud environments, DevOps, CI/CD, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, ERP systems, and related technologies
  • Experience working with offshore audit teams
