Position: Tax Manager
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Work Setting: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in-office; most Managers work 4 days or full-time in office)
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Our client is a nationally recognized CPA firm serving middle-market businesses across multiple industries including construction, healthcare, technology, real estate, manufacturing, retail, professional services, and not-for-profit organizations. The Colorado Springs office includes approximately 50 professionals, with a strong and collaborative Tax team of 30 and an Audit team of 11.

The Tax Manager will step into a leadership role within a well-supported Tax team. This position is ideal for a CPA (or EA) currently outside of public accounting who is looking to transition back into public practice at the Manager level.
The organization is looking to fill this role immediately due to growth and increased client demand.
Review and oversee preparation of Individual (1040), Fiduciary (1041), Not-for-Profit (990), C-Corp, S-Corp, and Partnership/LLC returns
Manage staff on engagement deliverables including tax returns, financial statements, and workpapers
Perform final technical and strategic reviews
Develop and manage engagement budgets
Maintain billing responsibility and manage realization
Ensure engagements are delivered on time and within budget
Meet charge hour goals
Serve as a proactive advisor to clients and identify planning opportunities
Participate in new client development and proposal discussions
Supervise, train, and mentor staff
Support leadership initiatives and practice development efforts
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum 6 years of public accounting or related experience
At least 3 years of supervisory experience
Active CPA required (EA acceptable)
Prior Tax Manager or Tax Supervisory experience required
Strong technical expertise across multiple entity types
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to travel as needed
Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000
